COVID-19 Antibody Test

The Vidacheck COVID-19 Antibody Test detects IgG antibodies reactive to SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. When an individual is infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, their immune system produces antibodies to the virus. The typical immune response produces detectable antibody levels approximately 8-10 days following the onset of symptoms (for best results, order your test at least 10 days after you first noticed symptoms).

Using the Vidacheck sample collection kit, you can provide your own small blood sample from the comfort of your home. After ordering the Vidacheck COVID-19 Antibody test, a sample collection kit is mailed directly to your preferred address. Each sample collection kit contains all the necessary items to collect your own sample from a simple prick to the finger. Samples are mailed to our partner CLIA laboratory and results are delivered electronically within days of receiving your sample.

Please note. This test is not an at-home test and is provided to our clinical laboratory partner for testing.

· Negative results do not rule out SARS-CoV-2 infection, particularly in those who have been in contact with the virus. Follow-up testing with a molecular diagnostic should be considered to rule out infection in these individuals.

· Results from antibody testing should not be used as the sole basis to diagnose or exclude SARS-CoV-2 infection or to inform infection status.

· Positive results may be due to past or present infection with non-SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus strains, such as coronavirus HKU1, NL63, OC43, or 229E.
